​Today, seven of our young people took part in Become Charity's Passport for Parliament, an outreach project empowering looked after children and care leavers to be agents of change - in their own lives and within the care system.

​Our two-day foster carer’s conference took place last week, bringing together 60 carers and social workers from across Kent, Essex and London. We had an extremely interesting two days, with great speakers, interesting group sessions and a chance to unwind and enjoy some early Christmas celebrations!

“Shall we Foster now?” I said to my husband Lee one night. Working full-time as a travel agent was enjoyable, but life was beginning to feel a bit robotic, like there wasn’t quite enough of a challenge in my life. We have considered fostering in the past, but felt we should wait for our boys to be independent. Well now they are, so it felt like the right time to ask the question!
