During lockdown we had to exercise all our ingenuity to come up with ways for the Affinity family to keep in touch and spend time together, despite the restrictions.
One very successful way we found to connect and have fun online was through our brilliant Lockdown Craft Days, and we were delighted that so many of our families were able to participate, during those long and difficult days.
So it was particularly exciting to everyone in the Affinity team when this August we held our first face-to-face craft session of the year. It really was a huge success!
The day had a gardening theme, so our young people got a chance to make their own plant pots, paint them with bright waterproof colours (unfortunately much-needed during this British summer) and plant their own flowers to take home with them.
Well done and a massive thanks to team members Izzy and Vicky for organising the day, and to all the young people, who took part, who were such great company and made such beautiful pots.
