Meet your social worker and
complete application to foster

We will visit you at home to discuss your fostering options at Affinity Fostering, answer any questions you may have and help you complete the application paperwork.

Attend a Skills To Foster course and home visit
by social worker

You will attend a Skills to Foster Course designed to equip you with the skills you need to foster. I will visit your house to assess your home and lifestyle.

Interviews, assessments and decision panel

We will check your references and your application will be assessed by a panel of professionals who make the final decision on your application to become a foster carer.

Start Fostering!

On successful completion of the above steps you will have become a foster carer ready for your first placement with Affinity Fostering. We will continue to support you throughout life as a foster carer.
