Our 5th annual Foster Carer’s conference at Marriott Waltham Abbey was held last week. Our latest conference saw our Foster Carers enjoy 2 days of inspiring training, and a great evening Christmas 3 course meal, 70’s fancy dress and entertainment from an ABBA tribute act and our own karaoke!
Our training commenced with brilliant input from Scott from Social Care Training Solutions on Understanding Trauma, and was followed up by Barry from Intqal-Pro delivering Cyber Security, Prevent and Safeguarding Training. The following day saw Young Lives Foundation , the highlight of which was input from John, a looked-after-young person, talk about Advocacy and Children’s Rights.
We also raised money raised for our Sponsored Charity Remus Memorial Animal Sanctuary, a local charity to us and for whom Lord Petre, owner of Ingatestone Hall where we are based, is a patron.
It was a brilliant couple of days, and we all had a great time learning and enjoying each other’s company! Looking forward to next year’s already! Thanks to everyone for coming!
